A recent online poll from BiGlobe Anime asked 4000 anime fans on what they consider to be the most “godly” anime of the first decade of the 21st century. This only includes anime series that aired from 2001 to 2010.
The top spot of the poll is taken by action comedy drama anime Angel Beats. It follows the story of Otonashi, a boy who lost his memories of his life after dying. Upon awakening in the afterlife, he meets a girl named Yuri who invites him to join the Afterlife War Front, an organization she founded and leads which fights against God for the cruel fates the members experienced in life.
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya, two of the anime series that I, myself, consider as the "most godly anime" just got on the top 10 of the list. Check out the full list below:
